We currently have an opening for a VIP Assembler II based at our site in Plymouth, MN.

The ideal candidate for this position will perform a variety of job tasks for the production, inspection, inventory and distribution of Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIP).

What you'll Do:

• Under general supervision performs a wide range of assembly operations on components or sub-assemblies specifically VIPs.


• Uses written instructions to assemble, rework, or reassemble units. Receives limited instructions on new assessments.


• Performs general warehouse work that involves using material moving equipment to store materials in designated areas or retrieving materials from warehouse locations to supply production operations.


• Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedure standards set forth in the AWAIR program.


• Refers to work orders or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.


• Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function, or assignment.


• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.

What You Need:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus one year or more of relevant assembly work experience.


• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret SOP documents relating to the job assignment.


• Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.


• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels within the company.


• Must have the ability to complete assignments within the time frame specified by the Manager.


• Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to executive non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).


• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.


• This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
