Hughes has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Software Test Engineer. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Perform qualification Testing of OSS-BSS software for the Service Delivery Group


• Working with the team to support the test environments specific to application setup, configuration, troubleshooting and verification.


• Testing and verification of deployed software, issue reporting and tracking, and delivery of quality releases to production.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with testing and test management tools, and knowledge of scripting and/or test automation


• Good verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills, and be able to workas part ofa dynamic team.


• Knowledge of Oracle database,Linux, NodeJS, Apache and Salesforce is desired.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
