As Senior Director, Global Learning and Enablement, you will drive programs to accelerate the growth and development of Moderna's most valuable resource - our people. Our L&D function is scaling to support our expanding company, and you will partner in the design and development of the organization's learning strategy. This includes the development of high impact learning programs that cultivate and advance the caliber of leadership talent and harness the embodiment of Moderna's culture throughout the organization.
You will leverage your global experience in building and scaling learning, management and leadership development programs, to shape and define a learning vision, strategy, and plan to implement cutting edge learning solutions and systems that consider Moderna's strategic priorities and the current state of Moderna's managers and leaders. In addition, you will provide thought leadership in the development of a leadership model to be incorporated into all aspects of Moderna's people processes and programs.
This position requires a broad global perspective and the ability to lead with cultural aptitude and curiosity y across a diverse, global organization, as well as the ability to navigate the complex challenges of a rapidly scaling organization. You must be highly adaptable to change and demonstrate both the ability and flexibility to navigate between high level strategy and get-it-done tactical execution.

Here's What You'll Do:
Provide thought leadership on the development of a leadership model to be incorporated into all aspects of Moderna's people processes and programs.
Shape and define learning vision, strategy, and plan to implement cutting-edge learning solutions and systems that consider Moderna's strategic priorities and the current state of Moderna's managers and leaders.
Be the strategic driver of our signature Moderna ONE onboarding program, and lead organizational, continuous improvement efforts to onboarding systems to increase "speed to productivity" for new hires across the enterprise.
Develop and deploy concurrent, highly visible learning programs that demonstrably improve leaders' and managers' abilities to build high-performing teams and drive organizational performance across the globe. Solutions may include formal learning programs, experiential learning assignments, assessments and feedback, coaching, etc.
Develop and implement communication plans that engage people in management & leadership development solutions.
Implement comprehensive evaluation strategies aligned to key talent metrics.
Develop a network of partners, building strong relationships: source, contract, and collaborate with internal and external subject matter and content experts, business partners, and vendors on the design of leadership development initiatives.
Develop executive coaching partnerships to provide individualized executive coaching, as required.
Collaborate with key stakeholders (Executive Leadership, HR Senior Leadership, and HR business partners) to ensure solutions are relevant, drive key business outcomes, align to key talent strategies, and reinforce the culture across the company.
Implement innovative technology solutions to drive a frictionless experience and improved accessibility of resources for managers & leaders across the globe.
Drive engagement and development at all levels of the organization and foster an environment of continuous learning to encourage career growth and succession readiness.
Work with the Senior Director of Culture and Belonging to ensure that all learning programs are equitably available to a diverse team of global employees and embed equity and belonging in each learning program.
Measure and articulate leadership and learning effectiveness and impact based on strategic alignment, overall organizational health, and key performance indicators, including engagement data.
Maintain leading edge knowledge of relevant tools, technologies, strategies, and best practices and champion innovative solutions that help drive business outcomes.
Conduct comprehensive needs analyses on a continuous basis, recognize emerging patterns, and provide recommendations to address gaps and/or potential opportunities.
Determine the balance between internal and external training resources and provide oversight for any external vendor relationships accordingly including budgets.
Provide ongoing visibility to HR Leadership and the Senior Executive Team.
Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
Bachelor's degree (MBA or Master of Science in Training and Development, Human Resources Development, Education, Organizational Psychology/Development or similar preferred)
Minimum 15 years' experience in building and scaling learning and management and leadership development programs for a global organization
Minimum 5 years' experience in leadership/management roles, including experience managing and motivating other managers.
Extensive knowledge of leadership, management, and executive development including management and leadership development programs, succession planning, assessments and executive coaching
Broad global perspective and the ability to lead with cultural awareness across a diverse, global organization
Track record of successfully driving large-scale global programs to completion within time and budget
Well-versed in digital learning, just-in-time/micro-learning, and blended learning strategies
Proficient in LMS and Talent Development technologies; previous experience using Workday is a plus
Knowledge of industry trends and the latest research
Proven track record of establishing a vision for learning and leadership development and building a high-quality portfolio of multiple learning programs that together achieve said vision
Ability to navigate the complex issues of a rapidly scaling organization and build the case for continued investment in learning and development
Specific experience overseeing well-reputed, innovative leadership and learning development programming
Highly adaptable to change; able to easily navigate between high level strategy and roll-up-sleeves tactical execution
Expert coaching and facilitation skills; experience advising C-suite executives
Experience developing KPI's and metrics and leveraging big data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of leadership and learning and development curriculum and programs
Extensive knowledge of leadership assessment methodologies, e.g., Hogan, DDI, Saville
Strategic thinker who also possess operational rigor and detail orientation
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, adept at developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of management and leadership from frontline managers to C-level executives; consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority
Passion for learning and continuous improvement
Experience in pharmaceutical industry highly preferred
Management consulting experience preferred
