Job Description:

Senior Calibration Technician

This position is responsible for performing precise calibrations as well as preventive and corrective maintenance on measuring and test equipment, instruments, tools, gauges and fixtures.

Key duties include: Sets up test equipment and conducts tests on performance and reliability of mechanical or electromechanical equipment. Develops calibration operating procedures and documentation for all instruments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working with minimal or no supervision, uses education and experience to verify electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical, dimensional and/or mechanical test and measuring equipment to internal calibration procedures or manufacturer's specifications.




• Demonstrates the ability to perform sound calibration operations to include the theory behind the measurement parameters.




• Records calibration results on the applicable forms per calibration SOP.




• Completes and applies calibration labels to test and measuring equipment.




• Reports out-of-tolerance conditions of test and measuring equipment per the Calibration SOP.




• Attends training for calibration personnel as required. May be called upon to train new Technicians.




• Sustains and maintains 5S Standardsand all continuous improvement activities.




• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalency. Associate's degree in a related disciple preferred.




• Minimum of 4-6 years related experience. Formal education in Calibration preferred.




• Must be able to read technical specifications. Ability to utilize a variety of hand and power tools




• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day.




• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.




• Visual acuity (aided or unaided) should be at least 20/40 in each eye.
