OTTO has an immediate need for a SWING DRIVER - SERVICE TECHNICIAN based out of ourCHARLOTTE, NC site location.

This role requires the ability to travel extensively (UP TO 50%, including travel by plane, truck or car), and sometimes on short notice, to our customer locations across the NorthEast and SouthEast regions.

We currently employ SERVICE TECHNICIAN - DRIVERS at each of our customers' sites throughout the NorthEast and SouthEast states (MI, OH, KY, GA, NC, AL, AR). When there is a need for assistance at any of our customer sites (due to increased volume, special projects or opening(s) for full-time position at the customer site), the SWING DRIVER will report to the assigned customer site to provide assistance for a defined period of time to complete the project or until the open position is filled.

The company pays for all travel related expenses as well as provides daily per diems in addition to a competitive hourly rate with excellent benefits.

When not traveling, position will be preforming the Service Technician/Driver duties at our local office in Charlotte NC.

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for providing assistance to OTTO sites (OCM Solutions, LLC) within the NorthEast and SouthEast regions. Will provide Waste Cart maintenance (for 2 Wheeled Trash Carts) which may include delivery, removal, assembly, repair and/or cleaning of trash carts and waste containers at customer locations. This role will also assist and support our teams with special projects at customer sites and Trash-Cart roll-outs for customers within the region


JOB DUTIES:


  • Perform safe driving operations of 16 to 26 foot box truck (Non-CDL) and / or Commercial Pickup with pull-behind trailer to daily travel within assigned geographical service area with multiple stop requirements to customer locations.

  • Trash Cart Assembly, Delivery, Repair and Cleaning - performed at customer site and/or at the company's location.

  • Respond to customer service order requests for Trash Cart assembly, delivery or removal; fix, repair and/or clean Trash Carts according to customer service order requests preformed onsite or at customer's location

  • Provide warranty/reclaim documentation as required by customer and manufacturing standards.

  • Heavy lifting may be required to stack, load, and unload both assembled and unassembled plastic Trash Carts and Containers weighing from 30-35 pounds

  • Respond quickly and effectively to customer inquiries or requests; reporting any customer concerns or issues to the Field Supervisor

  • Record keeping of tasks performed, service order requests completed, and inventory reporting

  • Abide by all safety regulations with respect to both Trash Cart handling and operation of company vehicle

  • Submit weekly completed service order requests and inventory reports

  • Service vehicle pre and post trip inspections, cleaning and minor maintenance

  • Facility and yard maintenance including organizing, sweeping, and trash maintenance

  • Any duties mandated by management as necessary to serve OCM's customers

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • MUST HAVE the ability to travel extensively (UP TO 50%, including travel by plane, truck or car), and sometimes on short notice, to our customer locations across the United States.


  • High School Diploma or certification required

  • Must have a Valid State issued Driver's License with safe driving record; and Chauffeur's License required for Michigan.

  • 3 or more years experience safe driving operations of a Box Truck (16 to 24 foot Non-CDL) OR a Commercial Pickup Truck with pull- behind trailer.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting to include waste containers of various sizes, tools, or other equipment necessary to assemble, repair, clean, load, or deliver the containers

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and small power equipment

  • Must be able to read and follow road map instructions and must be able to navigate the local geographical area

  • Must be able to meet DOT requirements of obtaining a DOT Card by completing a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

  • Must have stable work history and strong work ethic

  • Ability to read and understand English and to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers

  • Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and management

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

The Company offers a starting wage of $17 to $19 per hour (BOE), daily per diem when in travel and an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance and more.
