Duties

The ABL Credit Analyst supports the team leader and loan officers by completing credit underwritings related to operating companies primarily in the manufacturing, service, retail, and wholesale sectors. Underwriting responsibilities include conducting industry/company research, preparing loan offerings, spreading financial statements, calculating and testing financial covenant ratios, preparing cash flow analyses, analyzing collateral performance, and reviewing field exam findings. The ABL Credit Analyst participates in monitoring Asset Based Revolving Lines of Credit by examining financial statement trends and core asset trends generated by conformity charts, Stucky reports, and field exams. In addition, the ABL Credit Analyst assists loan officers with maintaining and updating credit files with proper documentation. Periodically, the ABL Credit Analyst will follow up with customers, field examiners, attorneys, and accountants regarding required documentation or questions. Independent thinking is required with the ability to express an opposing opinion and ask questions in a diplomatic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

    Credit analysis and loan presentation preparation.
  • Cash flow analysis, Financial Statement Spreads, Ratio Calculations, Trend Analysis.

  • Accompany loan officer and actively participate on customer calls.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements


  • Business Degree from an accredited four-year college, with accounting or finance courses of a minimum 9 credits.

  • Minimum 1 year' experience in a bank, including analysis and cash flow preparation based upon personal and business tax returns, credit reports and financial statements.

  • Ability to order and understand personal credit reports, business credit reports and searches.

  • Excellent, effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to conduct Internet research and utilize Microsoft Office and related programs.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of customer data and operations.

  • Experience and ability to work in a financial spreading system equivalent to Baker Hill.

  • Intermediate skill level with database, presentation/PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fully RMA credit trained
