The Operator Trainee will be responsible for learning and operating production functions as specified within our Industrial and Consumer Specialties Business Unit in Mt. Holly, NC.
Responsibilities
Essential Function 1:
1. Train on Production operations in assigned plant
2. Learn various functions & responsibilities in assigned plant
3. Learn and use SAP system transactions that relate to production, inventory management and material movement
Essential Function 2:
1. Assist Chemical Operators (Levels 1, 2 & 3s) in all phases of process equipment operation
2. Operate assigned production equipment & processes
3. Follow site policies and procedures that apply to operations
Essential Function 3:
1. Maintain accurate records
2. Read batch sheets, standard operating procedures, and material safety data sheets and understand the importance of each
3. Learn proper chemical charging and sampling procedures
Essential Function 4:
1. Maintain safe work environment
2. Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas
3. Follow operating instructions to produce a quality product
Essential Function 5:
1. Active participation in Mt. Holly safety program
2. Maintain a safe work environment
3. Use forklift frequently to move raw materials and finished goods
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Basic understanding of computers, good math skills, good reading comprehension
Ability to maintain a safe work environment
Strong understanding of the English language
