As aJunior Engineer, you will:

A week in the life of ourJunior Engineer:


  • Evaluate the design and performance of technical systems.

  • Design and develop hardware/component modifications integrating Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS), Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and legacy components.

  • Assemble and install systems components, conduct systems test and evaluation, develop Engineering Change Modification documentation and Logistic Support Elements, inventory control, and design and develop test and troubleshooting tools/devices.

  • Provide Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation services for systems comprised of COTS, GOTS and legacy components.

  • Design and develop maintenance plans and procedures.

  • Review and evaluate technical documentation and coordinate with government and contractor agencies to accomplish program/project objectives.

  • Review technical requirements to specify systems components and compile technical drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) toolsets such as SolidWorks.

  • Coordinate and participate in shipyard/shipboard activities such as systems modification installation, interface testing, systems operational performance verification, troubleshooting and evaluation of technical issues, and generating technical reports and presentations.

Job Requirements



Bachelors of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline. B.S. Mechanical Engineering preferred.


  • Minimum 1 year experience preferred.

  • Must have ability to obtain SECRET Clearance. Existing clearance preferred. Existing clearance preferred.

  • Candidate should have ability to utilize standard office software products (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and Adobe Acrobat) for report and presentation development; and Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs such as SolidWorks for design/drawing development. Travel is required to shipyard and shipboard activities.
