Description

This position is responsible for developing and managing deposit relationships within a designated market segment and fostering the Bank's relationship management culture by actively pursuing new deposit opportunities from current and prospective customers. This position will conduct business development calls with potential deposit clients and visit existing clients to strengthen relationships and meet Bank objectives. The primary role is to build relationships and grow revenue in all key areas of deposits and treasury management by cross selling all Bank products and services. The position will also be responsible for overall relationship profitability, and portfolio risk. The ability to develop and execute on a sales development plan are critical to this position.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Prepare and execute on a Market Engagement Plan (Plan for Target Segment) for the specific assigned vertical(s).

  • Engage in tactics primarily designed to bring on new relationships and new dollars to the bank in the shortest amount of time.

  • Develop referral networks with centers of influence to drive referral business to the department and the bank.

  • Effective manage their work by calendaring time to complete the requisite number of calls, meetings, and follow up items, while focusing first on the opportunities that have the highest probability of closing, and passing quickly on opportunities that provide minimal value to the client or the organization.

  • Feature the bank's strengths by highlighting the values that have the highest likelihood of resonating with the prospect.

  • Continue to invest in the internal coach to keep opportunities strong and moving.

  • Work with your fellow team members to ensure clients are effectively and efficiently onboarded with minimal disruption to the client.

  • Ensure clients clearly understand all of the Bank's products and services and how they benefit the client.

  • Develop unique, customize, client centric banking solutions designed to meet our clients' most common needs.

  • Increase the overall relationship depth and breadth of new clients, through cross-selling additional TM Products.


  • Input, update and maintain client's records and files on the Bank's Core and Client Relationship Management Systems.

  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, greet customers, and place calls in a timely, professional manner with an emphasis on superior and professional service.

  • Follow-up with new clients to ensure that their needs are being met and that they have appropriate knowledge of and access to the other supporting members of the team.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge and may train others on products, services, departmental systems, and related technology, policies and procedures.

  • Make it easy to bank with Pacific Premier Bank by involving the appropriate team members early in the process and by sharing requisite information to allow other team members to effectively and efficiently onboard the bank's clients.

  • Maintain an awareness of competitor products, practices, rates and changes in the market area, and elevate when appropriate.

  • Attend regular team and enterprise meetings to share best practices, client experiences, market changes, and competitor information.

  • Increase Pacific Premier's brand awareness in the marketplace by regularly attending and being highly visible at in-market, conference, and networking events and meetings.

  • Serve the community by volunteering or serving on a board at a local community service organization.

  • Participate in other civic and community affairs as appropriate.

  • Understand and adhere to the Bank's Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures and "know your customer/enhanced due diligence" guidelines.

  • Bring any suspicious activity to the attention of a supervisor, or the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.



Qualifications



  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • 5+ years of banking sales experience or equivalent required.

  • Previous pipeline or opportunity management experience is required.

  • Experience withNon-profits, Title and Escrow Companies, Property Management Companies, Real Estate Agencies, Legal Fiduciaries, and/or Government Agencies.



Preferred Qualifications



  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.

  • 3+ years selling specialty deposits services within the specific vertical preferred.

  • Previous community involvement preferred.

  • Previous CRM System experience preferred.
