Under limited supervision interacts with other Neurophysiology team members to maintain department quality expectations and customer service. Monitors a wide variety of surgical procedures (including neurosurgery, otolaryngology, vascular and orthopedic cases) in which neural structures are at risk. In addition to monitoring services this position will be encouraged to participate in ongoing and original research aimed at improving the field of IOM and development of training modules for self and team mates. This position may require flexibility of hours. Education: Bacheloras degree or Allied Health Care/Nursing credentials preferred or equivalent work experience. Experience/Training: Minimum 1-2 years, 3-5 years preferred prior clinical experience in a related neurodiagnostic field. Licenses/Certifications: CNIM required. Current American Heart Association BLS provider required. R. EPT and/or R.EEG T. preferred. Skills: Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
