The Trainer Operator will promote employee training programs while maintaining safety to meet production needs for Industrial and Consumer Specialties Business Unit.

Responsibilities

Essential Function 1:

1. Oversee production employees to execute operational performance plan

2 Promote employee training programs

3 Maintain safety, housekeeping, and schedule to meet production needs

4 Lead Production Systems Programs on the production floor

Essential Function 2:

1. Lead daily shift meeting, deliver safety education and lead stretching

2. Address operator needs and determine necessary maintenance, establishing priorities

3. Enter work orders and coordinate with maintenance team leaders for repairs

Essential Function 3:

1. Maintain accurate records

2. Read batch sheets, standard operating procedures, and material safety data sheets and understand the importance of each

3. Learn proper chemical charging and sampling procedures

Essential Function 4:

1. Manage team sick and vacation time, communicating between team leaders to ensure coverage

2. Train team members on how to prepare end of shift reports as well as machine downtime reports

3. Coach and train subordinates and monitor training requirements compliance

Essential Function 5:

1. Communicate the KPI performance metrics and results along with the Daily Production Reports

2. Drive Production Systems on the production floor including 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing

3. Promote with direct reports the Company Skill Pay Program and continued training for Qualification Profiles on operations

Essential Function 6:

1. Introduce new work instructions, LOTO procedure and line practices through training

2. Stop production processes to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, identify and place suspect product on quality hold and address noncompliant practices

3. Follow up with new operators and trainers for 30, 60, and 90 day evaluations

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment manufacturing experience Knowledge of reactor process and equipment operation

Basic understanding of computers, good math skills, good reading comprehension
