Job Description:

Responsible for managing day-to-day billing processes and procedures for assigned clients including submitting electronic and paper claims, troubleshooting resolution of solution billing errors, clearinghouse errors, and payer electronic claim rejections.


  • Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve/escalate billing errors occurring in the care record.

  • Research, resolve, and report on unbilled claims identified in the client billing solution.

  • Handle EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports.

  • Provide customer service support for patients, client administrative staff and insurance companies.

  • Prepare, review, and send patient statements to mailing service.

  • Meet defined productivity standards.


  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 1 year of customer service work experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook


  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 1 year of medical billing, cash posting, and charge entry work experience

  • Medical coding certification

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
