Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: Grow water treatment sales with a focus on driving the growth of SLS45 sales for the Texas facility. Job functions will be to identify and contact new prospects, perform technical reviews and manage testing at customers site, as well as drive successful field trials and customer conversion. Travel required, up to 60% (depending on where based).


Customer prospection and proposals

  • Identify and contact prospective water treatment customers

  • Track and understand market drivers for water treatment applications, including federal and state regulations

  • Build value proposition through on-site/lab technical testing

  • Sucessfully communicate proposals to customers

Field trial management and customer conversion

  • Set up KPI's for field trial and allocate resources from NBD/NBD Technical

  • Ensure adequate data collection and communication with customers

  • Build TCO and drive customer conversion

Provide in depth technical consulting with existing and prospective customers

  • Support technical queries from existing or prospective customers

  • Structure the technical expertise for the applications of lime

  • Assist Lhoist's sales teams with technical expertise

Design and introduce new water treatment products and applications

  • Help identify new products and applications that could satisfy a market need

  • Build and test the new offers with the support of NBD Technical

  • Implement the new offers with a marketing program (4P's)

Prepare and publish water treatment communication/marketing materials

  • Identify key market segments and messages to communicate

  • Select appropriate media for communication (journals, conferences, etc.)

  • Build communication program and internal/external marketing material


  • Technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment

  • Basic knowledge of the applications of lime for water, wastewater and sludge treatment

  • Strong prospecting/lead development skills

  • Skill of identifying key business opportunities in water treatment markets

  • Ability to build and manage projects

  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Ability to work in a diverse team

  • Skill of working in a transversal role (corporate/BU support role)

  • Ability to work with a wide range of interfaces (industries, municipalities, regulatory bodies, universities, etc)

Required Experience: 3 years in a sales or business development role. 3-5 years of experience in the field of water, wastewater and sludge treatment.

Required Education: Undergraduate degree in a technical field or similar experience. Business training (B.Com. or M.B.A.) is a strong plus.
