ACCO Brands is seeking aSenior Buyer forKensington brand. The Senior Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the organization has a product buy plan that supports both our North America product initiatives while also ensuring we met our inventory corporate objectives.
Lead supply planning maintain consumption and inventory tracker in Excel and provide purchase suggestions.
Develop supplier forecasted needs, determine appropriate inventory levels and program purchase rules in ERP system.
Monitor part inventory for timely inventory replenishment and excess inventory mitigation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain uninterrupted material supply to support our North America SKU level demand forecast.
Proactively identify and minimize supply gaps by evaluating inbound air ship versus sea ship, escalations to the Sourcing team, and sales order prioritization with Sales Operations.
Drive and own inventory accuracy and consistency with 3PL warehouse, investigate inventory discrepancies and prepare reconciliation report.
Provide solutions to the daily operation issues and answer supply chain related inquiries as needed.
Assist with physical count, cycle count and other operations in the warehouse as needed.
Oversee open purchase order delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain optimal inventory levels through the active use of MRP, coordinate and manage rework activities.
Manage and provide guidance to the Supply Chain Specialist role.
Drive purchasing performance metrics and establishing supply chain parameters to drive an optimized inbound supply chain such as lead time, safety stock, and min-max stocking levels.
Ensure we have reporting infrastructure to communicate our inventory projections and action plans for improvements.
Participate in Monthly S&OP process to review inventory initiatives and corresponding actions.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management or related field is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in supply chain or operations is desired.
Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Excel (VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint.
Knowledge in SAP or other ERP system is a plus.
Consistent track record in supply planning, inventory control and project execution.
Adept in managing and partnering with warehouse, vendors and 3rd party logistics provider.
Responsive and flexible self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and good email etiquette.
Occasional visit to local external warehouse is required.
