Job Description


We have an immediate opportunity for a 2nd Shift Electronics Technicianto join us at our diverse team in Loves Park. This position is responsible for drive troubleshooting and rework, as well as providing technical support for production test equipment. The Electronic Technician will also assist in the design, assembly and maintenance of production test equipment in support of the Test Engineering Department.


Job Responsibilities


Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.


  • Drive troubleshooting and rework in production test.

  • Perform function test of larger stand-alone drives using automated test.

  • Provide technical support for the production test equipment and production systems.

  • Assist the quality department in root cause analysis of component failures.

  • May perform periodic maintenance and improvements for test equipment.

  • Diagnose issues and failures in production equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Background & Skills


The ideal candidate possesses these skills.


  • Associates Degree from 2-year college or technical school in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Relevant experience will be considered.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents.


  • Ability to analyze data/information and present to peers and managers.

  • Experience with assembly, electrical wiring, and hand tools.

  • PC knowledge, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of databases and forms in Oracle are a plus.

  • Basic understanding of Variable Frequency Drives and 3 phase motor systems a plus.

  • Good analytical skills and communication skills.

  • Must be able to function well in a team or group environment.

  • Ability to work in a production environment and interact with production personnel.
