Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking a summer intern for our Quality Assurance Department for eight weeks to work in our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This position will be responsible for some entry level assignments that will provide exposure to the Quaility engineering job family.

Responsibilities

    Learn and apply the AS9100 Quality Management System Standard to daily work.
  • Conduct inspections of mechanical and electrical piece parts and assemblies

  • Conduct Final Inspections of mission critical equipment

  • Conduct audits of work instructions

  • Work with the entire Quality Assurance organization to support data analysis

  • Organizing and archiving QA Files.

  • Conduct transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

  • Other assignments supporting the Quality Assurance Department.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university of college and have completed at least 1 semester within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent/related field

  • Excellent English communication skills - written and oral/English Fluency required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.

  • Proficiency in Minitab preffered.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.

  • Ability to follow and comply with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines including the Compliance Policy Manual and the Code of Ethics.
