Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, International-Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT) is an industry leader in the handling and storage of bulk liquid products through its ownership and operation of 19 terminals throughout North America. The terminals handle petroleum, biofuels, commodity/specialty chemicals, and vegetable/tropical oil products for customers including refiners, commodities traders and chemical manufacturers and distributers.

Position located in Bayonne, NJ.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the job:

To maintain and assure product quality, carrier equipment quality, to prepare all necessary inbound and outbound paperwork and to dispatch all Miscellaneous Liquids trucks for loading and unloading.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    Test truck, tank, ship and drum samples to ensure that all products shipped and received meet the customer supplied specifications and be able to interpret all results.
  1. Ensure that the Certificate of Analysis are updated for each product whenever tested.

  2. Manage retain samples to include storage, collection, recouping and recycling.

  3. Responsible to properly contain and label all lab waste generated. To follow all safe job procedures in the lab and dispatch areas, also to understand all lab, customer, environmental, DOT and FDA policies.

  4. Run analytical tests for waste water treatment system.

  5. Ensure driver has all the proper equipment and information that is needed in order to process a shipment or receipt from start to finish in accordance to DOT regulations and company quality procedures.

  6. Issue DOT required placards, seals, customer tags & sample bottles where applicable

  7. Dispatch trucks to proper yard for loading or unloading.

  8. Truck inspections.

  9. Schedule trucks for certain customers.

  10. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

  • High School Diploma

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:


  • Entry level

  • Valid driver's license.

  • TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials)

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:


  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

  • Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.

  • Ability to work in an office environment.

  • Ability to make decisions in a variable environment.

  • Ability to communicate with all other terminal departments.

  • Ability to wear and use a respirator.

  • Basic mathematics. (Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and fractions)

  • Ability to work overtime as needed
