Summary:To process and apply all cash received daily through lockbox payments by check, ACH and credit card. To research and prepare for conversion any duplicate or overpayments. Interactions and communications with the various stakeholders will be ongoing to manage all transactional activities in their job scope.
Monitor the assigned lockboxes and apply all cash received daily in a timely manner
Monitor ACH credit requests, and process corresponding changes; communicate closely with the requestor and the cash app team to ensure that the accounts are set up correctly
Convert duplicate payments and overpayments to credits in Lawson, making sure the G/L entries are correct and follow the correct posting date for the current accounting period
Save detailed backup documentation for the duplicate payments and credits in HRC
Review the unapplied cash report to make sure all conversions for overpays and duplicate payments have been completed and all credit card payments have been processed
Review and apply all exceptions to the daily High Radius cash uploads on assigned bank accounts for ACH and CHK payments
Retrieve missing remittance information and apply payments through the Lawson portal AR33
Retrieve reports from AR230 for each batch created
Drive departmental KPI's to address unapplied cash issues and process conversions before month end close
Special projects that require research and resolution for accounts that have old unapplied cash on account or net credit balances
Actively communicate with the branches and collectors in the initiation and processing of customer refunds - collect supporting documents, record adjustment entries in Lawson and submit refunds through Concur
At month end make sure that all the cash was assigned and applied, all unassigned payments were researched and converted
Resolve any Help Desk tickets assigned
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
3+ years hands-on AR experience in high volume environment
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to follow standard operating procedures
Ability to work tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Team player, flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels as well as internal and external customers
Ability to demonstrate integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information
Ability to practice outstanding customer service
Ability to perform at in a fast- paced ever-changing work environment with minimum daily direction
