TITLE
Night Shift Production Supervisor
LOCATION
Frontenac, KS
REPORTS TO
Manager, Operations
POSITION SUMMARY
The Overnight Production Supervisor will utilize team members to successfully implement Operations Execution Model with a focus on Understanding, Prioritizing and Eliminating Losses and Building and Executing Effective Daily Plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures a safe work environment for team by demonstrating and enforcing safe behavior
Successfully implement Operations Execution Model
Drives operations results to deliver World Class Customer Service
Be a constant leadership presence on the plant floor; effectively communicates expectations, provides timely feedback to performance to those expectations, and takes timely and appropriate disciplinary action when necessary
Promotes engagement and maximum effort through demonstrated behaviors and positive recognition
Masters the use of Redzone tool
Ensures Food Safety & Quality program is adhered to
All Staff shall be informed of their responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action; provide tools and environment to ensure food safety
Meet all quality measures on product being produced; provide tools and environment to ensure quality yields are being met; sense of urgency to escalate Quality or Food Safety issues
Understand, prioritize and eliminate losses; utilize data to identify loss area; assign responsibility to address loss eliminators
Lead the work stream teams
Work with Day Shift Production Manager & CI Team Members to ensure proper focus, resources and tools are being used to address loss areas
Build and execute effective daily plans to achieve finished goods schedule
Facilitates shift pre-shift meeting, setting up plan, making projections and implementing mid shift corrections
Makes cost-conscious business decisions in alignment with all key accountabilities
Communicate effectively with necessary resources offsite
Build and leverage team to achieve goals; provide feedback to assigned Team Leaders on daily basis; develop team members to successfully perform current and future roles
Hold mid-year and year-end performance discussion with assigned supervisors
With team, develop and implement state of the team improvement plan
Keeps abreast on new technology, methods and regulations related to responsibilities
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Experience
At least 1 year of production management experience in a manufacturing environment is required; food manufacturing experience is preferred
Other
Must be willing to work 6pm-6am shift
Proficient of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook
Knowledgeable of problem solving and process improvement tools, methods and LEAN
Ability to create a positive work environment
Excellent verbal and written skills
Open to relocate for future opportunities
