Covia is looking for a dynamic Utility who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Wedron Silica location in Wedron, IL.
The successfulincumbentwill have the followingKeyAccountabilities:
- Work in a safe manner and abide by all Covia and MSHA safety rules, regulations and best practices.
- General maintenance of plant grounds and equipment
- Operate fork trucks, pallet jack, track mobile, skid steer
- Use of hand tools and trade type tools
- Working in a physically demanding work environment
- Willingness to work overtime and cover off shifts
- Ability to climb ladders and rail cars
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate daily tasks
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of experience required.
