Evoqua is searching for a Field Service Technician for our Municipal Services division. The preferred home location for the candidate is Dallas, TX or surrounding area. The Field Service Technician would be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization, of equipment in the municipal drinking and waste water industry. The primary duties of a field service technician are in the municipal water and waste water treatment industry, which operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. It is expected and required that the representative be available by phone at all times, and respond with appropriate action to all calls. It is the responsibility of the representative to make appropriate arrangements for regional coverage with supervisors prior to periods of unavailability.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsibility for the installation and commissioning of equipment systems in a safe and functional manor.
• Responsibility for routine and emergency services to maintain equipment systems in safe and functional condition.
• Respond to non-routine callouts for technical services in a timely and proactive manor.
• Provide safety and application training to customer.
• Prepare and submit customer service reports detailing maintenance preformed and equipment / application status.
• Provide routine analytical services to document equipment systems or application performance and prepare and submit to customer, service reports detailing analytical services performed.
• Provide technical assistance to maximize equipment systems and application benefits to customer.
• Maintain and manage basic routine spare parts inventory.
• Maintain an awareness of current chemistry, application, and regulatory, developments pertaining to the provided equipment and applications enabling intelligent conversation and interactions with customers.
• Maintain situational awareness of assigned customer base.

JOB QUALIFICIATIONS:
Minimum skills required:
• Direct ability to assemble and maintain equipment systems with competence in hydraulics, electrical, electronics, and general mechanics.
• Basic chemistry knowledge and ability to run analytical tests.
• Working knowledge of municipal water treatment plant principles of operation.
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal, regulations pertaining to municipal water treatment.
• Capable of physical activity including lifting and or carrying weights up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to function and perform duties without direct supervision.
• Good verbal and written communications.
• Basic computer skills required including basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
• Clean MVR required.
• Problem solver.

Educational requirements:
• At minimum, high school diploma (or GED equivalent) with industry relevant experience.
• A Water / Wastewater Treatment Operator License is desirable.

Miscellaneous requirements:
• Overnight travel may be in excess of 2 - 3 nights per week.
• Travel miles driven may be in excess of 40,000 per year.
