Job Description:

Ashley Furniture HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for a Merchandise Coordinator.  The ideal candidate is responsible for the designing and coordinating of both Ashley Furniture and Stash interior projects. This includes, but is not limited to the merchandise layout, paint plans, and construction documents. Additionally, the Merchandising Coordinator is to bridge the communication channel between the store visual teams and the corporate merchandising team.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops all merchandising showroom floorplans, maintains drawings on AutoCAD and communicates direction to the field organization.


• Chiefly responsible for identifying and prioritizing business critical product needs in partnership with the Merchants for each showroom. Responsible for ensuring all store needs are fulfilled and budgets are met.


• Responsible for push-model transfers, transfer management and aging transfers.


• Responsible for the percent of discontinued product on each showroom floor.


• Responsible for measuring and maximizing the dollars per square foot of each showroom floor.


• Responsible for the impact of the showroom layout on the overall store aesthetic of each store.


• Responsible for all floor sample replacement orders including creation, tracking and new product transfer.


• Ensures all advertised product is represented on each showroom floor.


• Assists company with projects needing AutoCAD drawings, including Playbooks, new store and remodel layouts

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma Required


• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design preferred


• Must have at least 3 years'experience in Merchandising Management and 3 years experience with AutoCAD


• Strong Computer Skills


• Ability to Multi-task 


• Organized and detail oriented with good time management skills.


• Other duties as assigned
