THE ROLE:

The CSX Value Engineering PM is responsible for managing end to end cost (both as an overall initiative and as dedicated projects) in UE Fits and Customs products, leading project team and manufacturing partners to achieve cost goals, manage the qualification for engineering changes, and work with operations to identify and pursue reduction opportunities.

• Drive cost as an overall initiative, work with teams on NPI in early phases to identify areas sensitive to cost and advocate for low risk paths and alternatives to protect cost.




• Leading team to identify cost reduction opportunities, develop project plan for execution and realize cost reduction target




• Drive cost initiatives aggressively, be the squeaky wheel.




• Manage qualification and schedule for engineering changes




• Collaborate with internal functional teams and external manufacturing partners




• Prepare project status reports for communication and approval, drive decision making with project stakeholders.




• Have a view across products and product lines for opportunities to provide overall savings to the business.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

• Good knowledge in cost management and product development process flow




• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with multiple stakeholders and suppliers, monitor details and don't allow things to get stale.




• A leader with strong problem solving, communication and negotiation skills, able to work independently and drive for results.




• Able to accomplish significant contributions with minimal resources




• Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese, with proficiency in Mandarin

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

• Mechanical Engineering degree




• Supplier Management




• 5 years+ working experience in Consumer Electronics in Engineering or Project Management




• Exposure in multi-cultural international company
