An accredited acute care hospital located in northern Indiana is currently searching for a dynamic Respiratory Therapist to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This long-standing acute care health system has proudly served the northern Indiana and southern Michigan communities for well over the last one-hundred years. This state-of-the-art medical facility is home to nearly 400-beds and is equipped to offer a full range of medical and surgical specialties. The Respiratory Therapist will join a healthcare team that is comprised of more than 300 physicians and 2,000 employees that represent more than 30 medical specialties.

The Respiratory Therapist will join a respiratory care service line that provides care to both adult and pediatric populations. The Respiratory Therapist will assist to provide a number of services including airway and ventilator management, aerosol medication administration and education, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiograms, cardiopulmonary disease and rehabilitation. The Respiratory Therapist will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The Respiratory Therapist will act as a professional who can demonstrate clinical knowledge to provide respiratory care adequate for both pediatric and adult populations. The Respiratory Therapist will act as a clinical leader within the Respiratory Services department and will be able to explain the purpose and procedure of treatments to patients and families alike. The Respiratory Therapist will conduct physical examinations of the patient and will then prescribe treatment or therapies utilizing IPPB equipment, various oxygen devise, ultrasonic nebulizers, aerosol and humidity therapy, incentive spirometry, among many other treatments.
