Summary:


The 2nd Shift Driver/Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, finished goods and other items needed for shipping and production are delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner along with shipment preparation.



FLSA Status: Non-exempt



Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor



Essential Job Functions


The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. · Responsible for ensuring that all LTL, Full truck and small packages that have not been picked up on first shift are loaded and shipped on a daily basis


· Shuttling product (finished goods and raw materials) between two production facilities and third party warehouse


· Placement of raw materials in proper storage areas and processing all documentation to insure inventory accuracy


· Process and prepare stock for shipping: stacking boxes, labeling, wrapping pallets and preparing them for pick up


· Perform Material Handling activities according to established company policies


· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations


· Safely perform physical demands as indicated below


· Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel


· Work mandatory overtime as needed to meet customers' needs



Qualifications:


· Must have valid driver's license


· At least 1 year of job experience driving a commercial vehicle, preferably a delivery truck


· Minimum 1 year of warehouse or shipping experience preferred



Education:


· High School Diploma or GED



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


· Experience with material handling equipment: Forklift & Pallet Jack


· Experience using Warehouse management system and UPS Wordship


· Strong communication skills


· Strong math skills


· Detailed and accurate work habits


· Basic computer skills utilizing Excel, Word, and Outlook

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting, but may be exposed to:


· Variable temperature conditions indoor and outside (occasionally extreme heat or extreme cold).


· Moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and dust and/or mite hazards.


· Moderate noise environment.



Regular work days are Monday through Friday. First Shift hours are 6:55 am -- 3:05 pm; Second
