Job Description:

We are currently looking to fill a Principal/Staff Human Performance Specialist. Regeneron successfully manufactures a range of biopharmaceuticals for patients worldwide, including our approved therapeutic proteins and those involved in clinical studies. Our Human Performance Specialists are accountable for various Human Performance program initiatives within the global operation to generate reliable and resilient systems across Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS). They develop strategies to drive current thinking on human performance principles within all levels of leadership to manage risk while driving a blame-free culture.

As a Principal/Staff Human Performance Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

• Developing, implementing, and embedding a global human and organizational performance program (including error prevention tools, proactive error detection, and workplace and work process design) to increase the reliability of systems.


• Utilizing human factors and/or user centered design elements for effective system design.


• Driving and supporting the creation and maintenance of a blame-free culture through various systems (including a leadership on-the-floor program, deviation investigation support, and creating cultural indicators).


• Developing and deploying right-sized human performance training in fundamental and advanced concepts including but not limited to accident/failure investigations, human factor design, and Just Culture.


• Operating as a coach and mentor within the team and organization.

This role might be for you if have:

• High level of expertise and demonstrated application of contemporary human performance and human factors principles.


• Ability to cultivate effective working relationships through all levels of leadership within the organization.


• Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


• Ability to multi-task and operate independently within challenging timelines.


• Clear communication skills and comfort developing and providing instructor led trainings.

To be considered for the Human Performance Specialist, you must have the following; BS/BA in Human Factors or related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience of a MS and 7+ year of relevant experience for Principal Specialist Level. At Staff Specialist level a BS/BA in Human Factors or related discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience of a MS and 9+ year of relevant experience Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
