Master's Degree in Nursing or related field. If Master's Degree is in related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required.
If qualified applicant does not have Master's Degree, the applicant will need to complete an advanced degree in nursing, health care administration, or business administration within five years of beginning this position.
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license by date of hire is required.
Considerable (3-5 years minimum) experience in leadership/management roles to include prior experience working with regulatory bodies and survey readiness
Demonstrates skills for leading change and implementation of evidence based practice
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary team leadership skills
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication
Must be proficient in computer software applications
Professional certification in a relevant nursing or clinical area through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body. If not currently certified must seek certification in a role or specialty as soon as eligible to sit for the exam
Demonstrate job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Demonstrated skill and experience with orthopedic, rehabilitation and sports medicine clinical practices.
Membership/involvement in professional organizations
Previous experience working in a large academic medical center
Experience working in a union environment
