The University of Miami, Uhealth has an exciting opportunity for an APRN in the Ortho department at the UTower location.The "APRN" is responsible for the direct and indirect care of his/her assigned patients, and the supervision of assigned personnel. He/she will also report to the medical director and nursing director. The position requires the ability to assess patient's condition, formulate a plan of care, and evaluate a patient's response to care and treatment. Responsible for the continuous development and ongoing clinical management of the patients in UHealth system. This will be accomplished while carrying out the Mission, Goals and Objectives of University of Miami Hospital, while focusing on the patients, physicians and the employees as customers.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program and one (1) year of APRN experience. BLS and ACLS certification required. Current/valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license from the state of Florida. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners preferred. Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a nurse in Ortho required and Critical Care experience preferred. Acute Care and/or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certification(s) and/or work experience may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
