Business Capital provides leasing and equipment financing solutions to small businesses and middle market companies in a wide range of industries on both a private label and direct basis. We provide financing solutions for our borrowers and lessees, and assist manufacturers and distributors in growing sales, profitability, and customer loyalty by providing customized, value-added finance solutions to their commercial clients.


Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Analytics, the Associate position will provide reporting and analytics support for key strategic initiatives designed to improve the efficiency and profitability of the business


Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor operational key performance indicators


• Analyze expenses and run scenarios for potential financial impact of business decisions


• Construct and maintain financial and capacity models for use in assessing line of business profitability, earnings potential, and growth outlook


• Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies within the business


• Provide analytical support for enterprise wide projects, strategic planning, and current initiatives


• Work with functional partners and team throughout the business execute strategic initiatives and special projects


• Conduct market analysis and peer research


• Support design of presentations for Executive Management

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a STEM field preferred


• Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in analytical role; experience in Finance, Analytics, Strategy/M&A or similar function within an Equipment Finance company, bank, strategic consultants, private equity, or similar institution preferred.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, high degree of competency in Excel preferred


• SQL coding ability and Sales Force reporting experience preferred


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Strong skills in written and oral communications
