Job Description:

Hendrickson is searching for a Program Manager to join their Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems Group in Woodridge, IL. This individual will be responsible for managing projects within the established budget, schedule, and product objectives.

  • Leads and manages Simultaneous Product and Process Development (SPPD) teams to ensure successful new product launches by establishing goals and objectives for each functional group and monitoring performance.
  • Leads and manages Current Products (CP) teams to ensure successful implementation of internal and customer-driven product changes by establishing goals and objectives for each functional group and monitoring performance.
  • Responsible for developing and/or managing project timing, capital requests (CERs), capital budgets and product objectives (cost, weight, performance etc.).
  • Responsible for managing programs/projects from the study phase through the evaluation phase of the SOP4.4K process meeting the project schedule and ensuring proper submission of SOP4.4K deliverables.
  • Responsible for developing and updating program metrics using standardized reporting tools and other methods as required.
  • Responsible for providing periodic updates to the SPPD Executive Committee
  • Develops QOS metrics for programs, projects and team performance and provides regular updates.
  • Communicates regularly with all functional areas, including engineering, sales, marketing and supply chain management personnel regarding project goals, issues, and accomplishments.
  • Lead customer program launch meetings once the program has been accepted and resourced in the customer's organization.
  • Coordinate communication between various divisions, joint ventures, engineering groups, and customers as required.
  • Frequent interface with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure return on investment strategies are maximized
  • Ensure manufacturing strategies are in alignment with program objectives
  • Other duties as required
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Technical/engineering background.
  • 5 years relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MRP(KBM) systems and CAD software.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage projects.
  • Individual must possess self-motivation, driven and results-oriented characteristics.
  • Able to act independently, efficiently, and demonstrate ability to quickly close open issues.
  • Communication skills for both internal and external customers a priority, written, verbal and
  • presentation.
  • Ability to lead others in solving problems through a structured approach, emphasizing root cause analysis and decisive implementation.
