Kforce has a client that is seeking a Patient Billing Services Representative in Saint Louis, MO.
Greets patients, family and visitors
Answers questions and provides directions as needed
Verifies patients identification, checks patients in EPIC system, validates demographic and insurance information and verifies completion of pre-treatment testing/procedures/appointments
Applies identification band/ labels as indicated
Obtains signed consents, financial responsibility forms, patient history and questionnaires and assists patients in completing forms as needed
Collects co-payments and accurately balances cash drawer at end of shift
Prepares for next day of service by printing demographics, reports, forms and demographic labels and organizing these to facilitate consistent work and patient flow
Answers incoming calls and directs calls and assists teams and co-workers in the coordination of patient services
Schedules walk-in appointments as directed by the clinical teams or treatment providers
Education in a healthcare or customer service field
Two years of experience in billing systems and third-party claims and/or experience in a medical office setting
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work in a fast paced medical office setting
Epic experience strongly preferred
