Kforce has a client in the Bellerose Terrace, New York (NY) who is looking for a Regional Controller who will be responsible for the Month-end Close, Financial Reporting, Staff Management, Accounting Policy and Control and other accounting related duties and functions. Summary of Duties:

  • Supervision and oversight of month end closing operations including P&L (compliance with GAAP)

  • Oversee all monthly and quarterly close activities (trial balance review, journal entry adjustments, preparation of financial statements and balance sheet account reconciliations)

  • Supervision and oversight of day to day accounting operations (including GL)

  • Oversight of day to day transactions posting to the general ledger

  • Partner with the FP&A Manager ensure that accounting procedures help support and improve financial analysis capabilities

  • Preparation and presentation of monthly reporting package (financial statements)

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all ERP accounting systems used, including SAP; (Coordinate communication, implementation and training on all system changes that impact financial reporting and accounting processes or deliverables)

  • Provide Regional Finance Director and FP&A Manager relevant materials and analysis for the Monthly Business Review (MBR)


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA designation required (large regional or Big 4 experience preferred)

  • 6 plus years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience

  • 2 plus years of experience in corporate accounting experience (with full responsibility for monthly-close)

  • Prior supervisory experience required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
