Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a nationwide company is seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Remote Pega Developer. As an experienced member of the software delivery team, the Software Developer is responsible for developing or upgrading application software for the company's flagship products. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. This is a 100% remote position

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans


• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards


• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code


• Package and support deployment of releases


• Develop, refine, and tune integration between applications


• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems


• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget


• Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for less experienced software engineers


• Participate in agile estimations, planning, daily ceremonies and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team and personal performance

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software Development/Engineering


• 1-3 years of enterprise software design in Pega PRPC


• Databases such as - Oracle (including PL/SQL), Postgres, MS SQL Server, (NoSQL like Mongo a bonus)


• Unit Testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus


• Exposure to case management, workflow and BPM would be highly regarded (specifically Pega Systems)


• Experience building scalable and fault-tolerant systems in complex and hybrid environments


• Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum is a plus


• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories


• Recent experience of designing and developing RESTful APIs is a plus but is not required


• Experience with Source Management (Git, TFS, etc.), build scripting (Gradle, Maven, Make) and build servers Bamboo/Jenkins


• Experience with Docker is a plus


• Experience with Unix/Linus based operating systems is preferred


• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS, React), HTML5, CSS3 is a plus


• Exposure to JIRA or similar issue tracker is a plus
