Effectively manage and implement engineering projects as assigned. Projects will include new product launches, technology advancements to drive manufacturing agility, design improvements, equipment modifications, upgrades, or replacements, and continuous improvement projects.
Candidate will manage multi-million dollar Capex budget to execute new packaging line installations and equipment transfers from other Loreal Manufacturing sites. Candidate will also work to develop the 3 year technical vision for the manufacturing team, the focus of this vision will be to introduce cutting edge Industry 4.0 technologies along with changing the landscape of production to increase agility within skincare products manufacturing.
Candidate will work hand in hand with the technical support team to transition capital projects to the production workforce and ensure smooth transition of technical knowledge and training.
Bachelor's degree in major engineering discipline. Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years experience working in advanced manufacturing, equipment design, robotics, applied engineering, and/or automation. (5-7 years for Sr. Packaging Engineer)
Management of Multi-Million Dollar CapEx Projects related to Manufacturing Experience in Consumer Products Manufacturing Preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain state of the art knowledge of packaging technology and provide recommendations to management concerning improvements or upgrades in packaging operations.
Design the layout of manufacturing operations to maximize efficient material flow and optimum application of the technological means of production.
Identify, select, cost justify, purchase, install, upgrade, modify, and improve capital equipment used in packaging.
Where necessary, design and supervise the building of specialty equipment that will enhance the productivity of packaging operations.
Ensure projects meet their full success criteria including all safety, quality, performance, delivery and budgetary requirements.
Analyze, recommend, and implement activities that will maximize productivity and minimize cost in application of the technological and labor resources to the manufacturing process.
Implement and manage L'Oreal EOS improvement processes including (KANBAN, SMED, TPM, Chrono-analysis)
Provide support, guidance, and assistance to technical and production personnel.
Working with Packaging Optimization and Operations, perform line trials and validations for new packaging components.
Ensure that appropriate preventive maintenance programs are developed and implemented by technical and production personnel.
Supervise the activities of sub-contractors, suppliers, and service personnel.
Manage and implement all L'Oreal policies and procedures including but not limited to, the Corporation's Equal Employment Policy, safety and health procedures, etc.
Perform other duties as necessary or required.
