Manages and directs all shipping, receiving and warehouse activity including inbound materials and outbound customer and interplant shipments in order to efficiently ship, receive and store finished goods and raw materials. The Warehouse Supervisor drives a culture of safety through leading by example, setting expectations and standards, and reinforcing positive behavior during the course of daily business. Insures compliance of all Company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness throughout the facility. Overseeing all incident reporting and root cause analysis.
Recruits, develops and maintains a staff of qualified shippers, receivers and material handlers to adequately complete all shipping, receiving and warehousing task.
Acts as a key part of the site management team interfacing with all other departments to develop continuous process improvements in all areas.
Assures full compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements.
Coordinates activities of warehouse with activities of sales, customer service and production departments to ensure availability of product.
Maintains accurate inventory counts and location status of inventory.
Conducts cycle counts to audit accuracy of records.
Assures complete accuracy of all outbound customer shipments and incoming material receipts.
Maintains and manages the finished goods and raw material warehouse to assure the most efficient flow, an organized bin/location system and to provide a safe and efficient working environment.

Four-year college degree preferred two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical. Two or more year's supervisory experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess the ability to effectively present information to staff and management.
Ability to interact with customer service and production personnel regarding methods, materials and schedules.
Able to communicate effectively with vendors and freight carriers.
