FT RN Nurse Manager (Kendal) 80 hours per pay period at Kendal-Crosslands Communities in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a Life Plan Community located in Kennett Square, PA has a FT opportunity for a RN Nurse Manager at our Kendal at Longwood location.

Essential Functions:  Provides nursing leadership by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care and monitoring the development of a Plan of Care for each Resident.  Supports goals and activities of the Nursing department by performing quality assurance activities including audits and promoting collaboration/teamwork.  Serves as a resource for community Residents.  Provides and ensures a home-like environment that promotes quality of life, security and wellness according to regulatory and department standards.

Qualifications & Experience:  Those applying must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and have current licensure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Registered Professional Nurse.  A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Services Administration is a plus.  The successful candidate must have a minimum of one year experience as a Nursing Supervisor where management skill competence has been demonstrated and at least two years long-term care experience.  Demonstrates ability to supervise; supervise other RNs, LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants and secretarial staff.  Maintains an even temperament in demanding situations and displays leadership, especially during emergency situations.  Demonstrates ability to recognize, have compassion for, encourage and respect the residents.  Demonstrates leadership skills; effective interpersonal, written and communications skills; proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and the Internet; and working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations, and the Minimum Data Set (MDS).
