JOB SUMMARY

This position will play a pivotal role in driving cohesion between the FP&A and Accounting groups, focusing on streamlining reporting, data, and forecast initiatives. To accomplish this, the position will serve as a main liaison between Accounting, FP&A, and other relevant teams and support the monthly close process, reporting, and data alignment initiatives to enhance internal budgeting/forecasting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting to create a monthly close calendar, including relevant dates for both groups, and maintain communication during each close with all stakeholders to share major updates.

  • Gain and maintain proficiency and expertise in relevant financial and accounting systems with ability to ensure data alignment and consistency, review in detail, drive process changes, and communicate to the different groups in the appropriate vernacular.

  • Drive process improvements for monthly internal reporting package to provide increased visibility into key metrics and business performance on both a GAAP and non-GAAP basis.

  • Work to enhance alignment and management of internal financial system data in order to further streamlined internal budgeting/forecasting and reporting

  • Identify and support process improvements for internal forecasting and analysis of corporate reported line items comprising Funds From Operations (FFO), Net Income and Taxable Income

  • Manage and respond to ad-hoc requests and provide summaries to senior management

  3. Technical aptitude – advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; strong understanding of accounting principles; and consolidation of financial systems

  4. Exposure to Excel VBA/macros or SQL is a plus

  5. Proven ability to manage and gather data across multiple systems and data sets

  6. Strong communication - presentation, written, and verbal

  7. Strong team player with a focus towards customer service

  8. Ability to self-motivate and work in a dynamic environment

  9. Ability to work independently

  10. A positive and professional attitude

TRAVEL

Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years related work experience is required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. A CPA or MBA is preferred, but not required. 

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

CPA certification is preferred.
