SUMMARY – This is a supervisor function with hourly employees reporting to it.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Enforce safety rules and quality procedures
- Take disciplinary action when required
- Track daily scrap
- Prepare Daily Production reports
- Maintain and post employee’s attendance point record system
- Report and track employee’s vacation
- Check and report employee’s time
- Understand WPS, HSE & TS16949 procedures and ensure teammates are following procedures
- Responsible for interpreting and the current labor agreement with UAW
- Instruct HS&E courses
- Orientation for new hires e-training
- Maintain raw materials and finished goods inventory
- Understand BIC Key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed BIC 75
- Understand Lean and implement 5S and Kaizens within department
- Ensure good communications across shifts, departments
- Participate in problem solving, VSM, Kaizen projects
- Implement SOT’s, standard work
- Audit for standard work, quality, understanding HSE
- Train, disqualify, qualify, and audit performance on teammates
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position currently has hourly and temporary employees within the department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience. Knowledge of HS&E Collective Bargaining Agreement and employment requirements.
