Cognizant is looking for a hardworking and upbeat business development and alliance professional to join our Strategic Partnership Group (SPG). SPG is chartered with driving incremental revenue growth through joint offers and market development programs with Cognizant’s most strategic and global technology and solution partners. Our SPG team sits more broadly within our Strategy, Partnerships and Business Development Group and is a critical function for executing our strategy which is increasingly becoming more dependent on deep relationships with critical partners.

Summary

As a Partner Development Manager, you will own business development, strategy and plan execution for our partnership with IBM in the assigned territory. You will be responsible for identifying, defining, prioritizing, and launching region-specific solutions and offerings, and executing a comprehensive go-to-market plan to accelerate adoption of these solutions and services with IBM.

The success of this role is predicated on building, encouraging, using and connecting relationships across Cognizant and IBM executive leaders, product leaders, and sales teams across targeted markets and business service lines in Europe. You will be responsible for achieving revenue growth targets by driving the overall market adoption of Cognizant services and solutions and IBM’s Hybrid Cloud platform. You will successfully build virtual teams comprised of a diverse set of skills and knowledge from across Cognizant to interface with a variety of teams at IBM.

The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as a sales background that enables them to lead joint GTM efforts including the interaction with enterprise customers and sales executives. The ideal candidate should have a shown ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, as well as build and convey compelling value propositions. The position requires tried understanding of the IBM Hybrid Cloud strategy and IBM Cloud Paks.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and own end-to-end execution of a market based partnership plan, including definition and agreement of successful outcomes against Cognizant and IBM critical metrics.

  • Establish a regular cadence with Cognizant sales leaders for pipeline, opportunity and business reviews to run progress against the go to market plans with IBM.

  • Articulate the value of IBM’s Hybrid Cloud strategy and positioning of IBM Cloud Paks on Red Hat OpenShift crafting new services opportunities

  • Work efficiently with IBM and Cognizant marketing, sales, alliance and enablement organizations to develop and execute on all aspects of the partner business plan

  • Define target accounts and lead joint account planning by market to support proactive business development with IBM.

  • Serve as an internal domain expert for IBM’s solutions and technologies by developing a deep understanding of IBM’s strategies, technology, offerings, GTM model, and incentive programs; demonstrate programs for incremental margin and funding opportunities for Cognizant.

  • Represent the partnership at external events.

  • Preparing and giving business reviews to IBM and Cognizant leadership

Required


  • Bachelors Degree and at least 10 years of professional work experience

  • Recent and long-term experience in technology sales, partner management, solution sales, or consulting sales with partners

  • Articulate and understand the partner strategy, client needs and Cognizant solution strategy independently and show how Cognizant can meet the client needs with the partner supporting our solution offering

  • Preferred candidate will have domain expertise in one or more of the following industries: Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Retail, or Technology

  • Preferred candidate will have broad familiarity with one or more of the following IBM technologies: Business Automation, Integration, Security, or AI Ops

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written

  • Must be able to work anywhere in North America and be flexible with work schedules, including at least 25% travel
