EMCORE Corporation is currently seeking Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Software and Test Engineers for our 2021 Summer Internship program in Alhambra and Concord, CA.

As a member of the EMCORE Team, you will have the opportunity to support various stages of design, build, and testing of current specific projects.

What we need:

Interns are needed in the following areas: Mechanical Design, Test Engineering, Hardware Integration, Software Design Process and Documentation.

Placement of individual interns within each of these roles will be based on intern's background and experience, areas of interest and company need.

What our Internship Program offers is 12 to 13-week internship program providing students with hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines. From design to test, EMCORE offers opportunities to gain valuable experience, skills and mentorship by working with cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading experts on real projects.

Minimum requirements for this position:

You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program in computer, electrical, mechanical or aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, or related discipline.

The following skills would be preferred depending on your area of interest:

• Proficiency using Excel with CAD modeling software (preferably Solidworks)


• Drafting experience pertaining to engineering/manufacturing drawings


• Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Hourly Rate: $17.00 to $25.00 DOE
