Le Meridien St Louis Clayton is currently searching for a dedicated in-room dining server for our upscale hotel.
As an in-room dining server with Le Meridien St Louis Clayton you will be responsible for the taking, entry, setting up, delivering and retrieving all food & beverage orders to guest rooms and hospitality suites while ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction, and brand and company standards are met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain accurate set-up & delivery of all food & beverage orders to guest rooms in accordance with established guidelines and procedures on a daily basis. This includes polishing of glassware & silverware, folding/rolling napkins, setting up trays, stocking supplies, etc.
Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner while delivering order following Le Meridien guidelines and sophisticated style.
Conduct floor sweeps to retrieve all food & beverage trays in order to maintain established sanitation guidelines.
Set up and deliver all amenities to rooms in a timely manner.
Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to food safety.
Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, to maintain accountability of all food & beverages served.
Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
Complete all shift side work as outlined.
Respond to all guest needs, issues, comments, and problems in a timely manner to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. Report any less favorable comments to immediate shift supervisor.
Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Ability to manage difficult or emotional customers or situations; includes ability to respond promptly to guest requests
Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
Basic knowledge of food & beverage or a passion for learning
Ability to stand for long periods time and push-pull up to 25 lbs
