**The Dialysis Home Therapies Nurse Manager** oversees the management of both Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD) operations in the dialysis unit. Supervises all nursing personnel, organizes and administers the Home Training Program, and implements training and educational programs for ESRD in order to ensure a safe and efficient dialysis treatment for all patients.
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversees the review, evaluation, and education of patient care in accordance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI's CQI program and the individual clinic's requirements.
+ Coordinates QAPI activities in the home program; coordinates and implements strategies for growing home dialysis.
+ Develops and implements standards of care, providing patient care in accordance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI's CQI program and the individual clinic's requirements.
+ Coordinates the implementation of the DCI, CQI and Risk Management Programs with the Quality and Risk Manager.
+ Collaborates with the Medical Director, and all clinical staff to resolve any problems with patient care including selection of modality.
+ With the AOD and Medical Director, integrates unit activity as they relate to patient care, staff education, research projects and unit expansions.
+ Reviews financial operations of Clinic with Governing Body, providing input and participation in financial decisions relating to clinic operations.
+ Assist staff nurses, Home Training Coordinator, and patient care staff to carry out functions and activities expected of them and substitutes for personnel on an "as needed" basis.
+ Reviews patient data in accordance with ESRD Network criteria identifying problems and formulating corrective action plans.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Coordinates with Medical Director the supervision of the Social Work, Renal Nutrition, Technical, and Nursing staff.
+ In coordination with the Area Operations Director, interviews, hires, and trains new employees; facilitates scheduling; conducts performance evaluations.
**Qualifications**
+ A degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
+ Must maintain a current state license as a Registered Nurse
+ Two years' experience in PD required; five years preferred
+ Experience in home hemodialysis is preferred
+ One year experience in a supervisory role required; three years, preferred
