Job Description:

The Information Systems Specialist is located at the Dewey Plant in Inman, SC. The role reports directly to theChemical DivisionInformation Systems Manager. The Information Systems Specialist will be responsible for the development, deployment and maintenance of numerous plant applications. S/he will also develop and implement patching and upgrade strategies for existing and future systems in accordance with industry best practices.

The candidate will be responsible for:

Software Management

• Support plant business applications including MS Office, SAP, MDS and others.


• Develop MAINTelligence queries and reports as needed.


• Prepare and execute upgrade strategies for existing data platforms to mitigate obsolescence.


• Prepare and implement software patching strategies in accordance with industry best practices to protect against cyber security threats.

Technology Management

• Support office equipment including but not limited to: PCs, Servers, clients, printers and telephony equipment.


• Support security systems including cameras, access control equipment, and badging equipment. Support and create attendance reports based on security system database.


• Ensure proper operation and maintain system backups of critical computer systems in accordance with industry best practices.


• Support, maintain and/or install plant network equipment including switch, router, access points, fiber connection and VoIP equipment


• Maintain specialized maintenance tool connectivity and support as related to MAINTelligence


• Support plant local area network including control system equipment, domain and associated systems.


• Research and recommend new technologies to eliminate obsolescence and/or increase efficiency.


• Manage software and hardware service agreements related to job duties


• Interact with corporate IT to order/change out associate leased assets.

Qualifications
* Associate degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with .NET framework and MS SQL
* Experience with Visual Studio
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to meet objectives
* Builds relationships easily
* Ability to multitask and prioritize
