Technical Process Coach
Power Plant Utilities
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Process Coach for our Power Plant Utilities department. Technical Process Coach is a results-oriented leader who is responsible for coaching and building the skills and capabilities of the Utilities crew members with respect to Mechanical, Electrical and Operational Reliability.The Utilities Technical Process Coach's hours will be day shift Monday - Friday, however, they are expected to flex hours as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Job responsibilities for a Technical Process Coach are not limited to the below expectations however, business conditions and expectations could dictate a change in responsibilities.
What You Will Do In Your Role
A Day in The Life Typically Includes (but not limited to):
- Safety leadership by coaching others in identifying hazards
- Capture learning events and communicating findings to others/PI system trending
- Collaborate with Training and Development Leader, PCL, AT's and MEs on developing training plans for crews and individuals
- Provide hands on training for technicians - must be flexible with hours to achieve training goals on processes and equipment
- Conduct skill checks/BCIT quizzes and panel review
- Working with reliability resources to acquire knowledge and troubleshooting skills to transfer to the team members
- Build skills and mentor team members on troubleshooting repeat failures
- Investigate the causes of repeat failures, perform RCA and implement corrective actions with the team member
- Assist with training Techs on equipment and provide input for training material development
- Move to the highest priority work within the work system and across Utilities - (flow to the work)
- Well-written work requests
- Develop and review SOP's for accuracy
- Develop and lead training topics
- Build PSQ material
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
*Knowledge of DCS/Operations process controls
*Two (2) or more years of training and development experience within an industrial, or manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of SRM's power plant field and control room
1 or more years of experience as an instructor, facilitator, or similar role
*Effective communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal*Experience using Microsoft Office tools in the following manner:
Excel - sorting data, creating tables and creating graphs
Outlook - scheduling
Word - document creation/editing
PowerPoint - presentation creation/editing
What Will Put You Ahead
Preferred Qualifications:
*10 years of SRM power plant control room experience
*Experience starting up and shutting down major equipment in SRM's power plant
*
