Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, leads and assists in the resolution of complex problems and technical design gaps. Drives improvement initiatives that support the overarching global reliability of the company's systems, including capacity planning, failover strategies, performance improvements, reduction of Mean Time to Awareness/Resolve and postmortems. Leverages critical thinking to improve best practices and provides enterprise-level recommendations that ensure reliability and resiliency. Mentors those in less senior positions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Need a self-starter, quick study, detail-oriented individual with leadership experience/skills.
Harden applications with very good knowledge of application monitoring tool, app dev, networking, system admin, and database capabilities working closely with SME's in all areas.
Coordinate software upgrades (3rd party tools, OS, WebLogic, Java, Certificates, databases, security, etc. affecting the system.
Collaboration/Coordination with development and business teams to ensure rely practices are followed like all applications having IAAS standards.
Run bridge calls with precision concurrently looking at the different technologies to efficiently resolve/run away from problems to get systems up and running.
Coordinate and communicate with business partners on priorities, releases, incidents, outages, upgrades, user testing, feedbacks, etc.
Continue to have the best industry Disaster Recovery.
Support security patches and upgrades
Applying knowledge of the underlying system components that make up the workflow to solving problem and improve reliability.
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
Application knowledge like Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, XML
Network knowledge of load balancers, VIPS, etc.
System admin knowledge including DNS knowledge
Database knowledge of reading AWR reports, etc.
Basic Java design and programming
Basic Linux design and administration using sudo
Basic understanding of Java RCP
Basic understanding of PCF platform
Basic understanding of java, Weblogic, Oracle, JMS, Jenkins, Maven and build platforms
Basic scripting. Various languages (Linux, Bash, Windows)
Basic understanding of IP networks and the subcomponents that make up that system like switches, routers, load balancers and global site routers
Ability to triage production incidents including root-cause analysis
CMDB and PDSM experience
Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Collierville, TN.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) or more years' equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.
