Job Summary:

Managesproduction quality activities and deliverables toensure compliance and customer satisfaction, while supporting company-wide strategic business goals. Assures consistent quality by developing,implementing, and enforcingthe production quality plan,processes and procedures,includingvendor quality teams.InterfaceswithCustomers on quality,reporting status toprogrammanagement. This position generally works under limited supervision and direction and regularly exercises discretionary and decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managesproductioncompliance to numerous systems, and standards.

  • Interfaceswith the Customer and program management on quality related matters.

  • Managesthe execution of the production quality plan, includingsub-contractorQuality teams.

  • Works withproduct development, and operationalmanagement,in coordinationwithDirector of QA and Test, to define, iterate, document, and enforce QA processes and procedures.

  • Lead, direct and motivate a culture ofquality improvement acrossproduct, program,and business teams toeliminateinefficiencies/ defects, anddrive root cause analysis and lesson learning.

  • Communicates QA expectations toteams; plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews contributions, and enforces policies and procedures.

  • Analyzesdata,draws out actionable conclusions, and presentsresults tooperations and program management.

  • RepresentsQA organizationduringaudits,reviews, action boards,and customer meetings.

  • Prepares QA documentation in pursuit of bids and proposals.

  • Supports vendor assessment and management of the quality deliverables.

  • Acts as leader/facilitator between QA and other functions.

  • Provides operations management with input regardingdecisions andactions for the QA function.

  • Leads and manages a team of Quality inspectors and engineers

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in a related field is preferred, plus eight years' experience in technology production organizations, developingand operatingproducts/ systems.

  • Must have expertlevel experiencewithquality best practicetools and methods, includingproblem prevention re-occurrence.

  • Must haveexperience in managing both customers and sub-contractors. Must haveISO 9001 audit experience.

  • Must have effective communication (verbal/written) and analytical skills, includingreporting to senior management.

  • Must be proficientwith software tools, including MS Office (SAP preferred).

  • Must have demonstrable ability in the following skills: accountability, leading and motivatingteams, forward thinking, problem solving,influencing,decision-making, active listening, facilitating, coaching,negotiating andbeing a changeagent.
