We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Delavan location! In this role, the HR Generalist will be responsible for working closely with our manufacturing operations team to develop organizational capability through: coordinating staffing and retention efforts, talent & leadership development, performance management, talent acquisition, total rewards and employee relations. The role will partner with local leaders to align HR processes and programs with the strategic direction of the Flow Technologies segment.

You will:

  • Participate in a variety of HR processes such as such as organizational development and effectiveness, performance management, staffing, training initiatives, career development, compensation and positive employee relations.

  • Partner with hiring managers on recruitment process, including identifying available openings, posting open position, reviewing applicants, scheduling and participating in interviews, preparing offers, and scheduling pre-employment testing.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to manager and employees on HR policies and processes to provide consistent handling of employee situations and performance management.

  • Support and participate in human resources initiatives for the site including the annual performance evaluation process, mid-year reviews, compensation planning and talent management.

  • Anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues and performance management consulting.

  • Act as internal consultant, identifying and partnering with others as appropriate, in addressing issues (e.g. employee morale, interpersonal problems, work conditions, etc.).

  • Provide counsel and facilitate conflict resolution to address issues for both employees and managers.

  • Support and guide managers in all performance management processes.

  • Conduct HR orientation for newly hired employees, working in partnership with managers and other functional groups to ensure an effective on- boarding process.

  • Partner with HR team on employee data transactions so that employee leaves, payroll and benefit administrations are accurate and timely.

  • Manage and maintain employee files according to document retention policy.

  • Other duties as assigned

You Should:


  • Have earned at least a Bachelor's Degree (B.A.,B.S.) or equivalent in human resources, business or related field.

  • Have 3+ years of experience in human resources

  • Knowledge and understanding of employment laws, human resources theory, practices and legal requirements to act as a subject matter expert to business groups

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Positive team attitude and a desire to challenge themselves as well as continuously develop and learn.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on consultative and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to build relationships, establish credibility and influence all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Have experience using an HRIS system (i.e. Workday or other equivalent) and time & attendance system

  • Skills in Microsoft Office suite and other data management and/or reporting applications

We like, but don't require:


  • Master's degree in related field.

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification.

  • Experience working in manufacturing environment.

Additional Information:


  • Normal office environment, extended periods of siting, standing, and repetitive motion may be required to perform essential functions of the job.

  • Will be required to walk out on the production floor wearing appropriate PPE (steel toes shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, etc)

  • Minimal Travel; 0-10% of time
