Summary:

Kitting coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials


• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules


• Move totes to tables, checking to ensure all parts are complete, moving parts to shelves, and making copies of the paperwork


• Confers with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes


• Work at a different work stations as production needs require


• Maintains work area in clean, safe and orderly manner


• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cell

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:

• High school diploma / GED required

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment


• Demonstrated proficiency with hand held tools and other measuring devices


• Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication


• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
