The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Credit Professional will apply knowledge of Credit and Collection principles, theory, and applications in managing the collections of up to a 300+ customer accounts monthly. Participates on department process improvement teams, providing input to work procedures, supporting team outcomes and influencing change.

As a Credit Professional, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Initiates customer calls for the purpose of collecting on account and/or resolving delinquency issues.


  • Partners with external customers and internal clients to resolve delinquent and disputed accounts


  • Utilizes appropriate systems and tools to reaching targets, while adhering to established credit policies and procedures


  • Demonstrates ability to conduct more difficult negotiations with external customers and internal clients, combining a thorough grasp of credit, financial, and customer relation skills to arrive at successful decisions


  • Participates on department process improvement teams. May initiate and /or facilitate/lead meetings both within work group or department, or with external customers and internal clients when business needs require


  • Evaluates credit worthiness of current and new customers to establish maximum justified credit available and order referral codes, including completion of Account Risk Assessments (ARA) as required


Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Associate’s Degree or higher from(completed and verified prior to start) an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)from an accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in customer service in lieu of the Associates degree education requirement


  • Two (2) years experience in credit and collections


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Associates degree in finance or accounting


  • Experience in Excel Pivot tables


  • Experience with corporate collections and understanding financial statements


Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized

Location: Taylorsville, UT

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
