Come join our team.The Corporate Communications Specialist will support external public relations activities in support of the global Marketing strategy and the NSF mission, strategy and goals for growth and innovation. The Corporate Commununications Specialist will support the creation of external communications strategies and the NSF narrative. This position is a key member of the external communications team.
Key Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for external communications tactical execution across NSF's business units
Experience proactively identifying trends, developing compelling narratives, and driving a leadership position in the public health industry
Work closely with cross-functional teams to story mine and identify communication opportunities that will resonate with the media and interest the public
Strong experience writing and executing pitches, key messages and communications materials; create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios and speaking proposals
Create external campaigns for major products and initiatives
Partners closely with marketing leaders to determine best methods for socializing concepts and platforms into new and existing markets
Develops measurement for all campaigns
Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references; proven media relations skills required; science, consumer and business media preferred
Experience working with global agency on major campaigns
Support executives and spokespeople in media interviews
Prepares media briefing documents
Experience:
6 years' experience in public relations
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
Experience in the water, food or health sciences industries is desired but not required
Demonstrated expertise in consumer and client public relations and communications
Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, understand customer needs and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with the mission and goals
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a project team to achieve goals, budgets and timelines
Demonstrated experience in allocating resources and managing expenses to meet budget
Experience developing and implementing strategy
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, including selecting and developing talent, building trust, coaching team members and managing performance resulting in high performing teams
Strong writing and communications skills
